Build a route before choosing transport
Write down your overnight bases first. Then compare the available bus connections, private transfers and car hire for each leg. A cheap connection is less useful if it requires an inconvenient change or arrives after check-in.
If you use buses
Confirm the departure station, date, time and luggage arrangements directly with the operator. Services and collection points can change; this guide does not provide live timetables. Avoid tight same-day connections to flights.
If you rent a car
Read the rental agreement, insurance excess, deposit and cross-border conditions. Check parking at your accommodation. Keep your first driving day manageable and leave extra time for winding roads. Rental prices are not included as live quotes in our planner.
